Tangerine Tango is the color of 2012, according to the Pantone Color Institute

According to Pantone Tangerine Tango is the color of 2012.

Pantone states that” Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.  It’s warm, uplifting, and energizing, and it happens to look great with almost every skin tone. ”

I do believe that tangerine tango is a great color on almost everyone.  It is more of a reddish orange rather than a yellow warmer orange.
If you feel that the color is too overwhelming to wear alone you can use tangerine tango accessories  to make your outfits pop.  Looks great with Navy Blue, Steel Gray and if you are really daring you can go with an emerald green.
“Color is really emotion,” agreed Beth Eckerstrom, director of trend and product development at Crate and Barrel. “Everyone thinks it’s a physical thing, but it’s really emotion.”

About the PANTONE Color of the Year
The color of the year selection is a very thoughtful process. To arrive at the selection, Pantone quite literally combs the world looking for color influences. This can include the entertainment industry and films that are in production, traveling art collections, hot new artists, popular travel destinations and other socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from technology, availability of new textures and effects that impact color, and even upcoming sports events that capture worldwide attention.

For more than a decade, Pantone’s Color of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home and industrial design, as well as product packaging and graphic design.

Red & Green Deviled Eggs – really quick

RED & GREEN DEVILED EGGS
Really Quick and Easy.
colored deviled eggs
First I start with peeled hard boiled eggs.
You can buy them already boiled and peeled in the grocery store. I tried this but the eggs seem to be a little less rubbery when boiled yourself.

Cut the eggs in halves and put yolks in a bowl

Put the egg halves into the colored water.I did not measure any of the color.
I used food coloring, cold water and a little vinegar in a bowl.

While the eggs are soaking in color, Mix up your filling.
I’m in Texas so these are a few of the base ingredients I use. Again, I didn’t measure anything. You can add whatever you like to the egg yolks to make it taste good. Be careful about making the mixture too wet.

About the time my filling was ready so were the color on the egg whites. I fished them out with a spoon and placed them bottom side up on a few paper towels.  After they dried a bit I put them on a plate and filled them.It is best to use an actual deviled egg plate – I could not find mine.  After only 20 minutes in the fridge, the places where the red and green sides touched the color transfered and made a dark mark.

Sooo…Thats all there is too it.

America – Happy Thanksgiving from Colortude

Thanksgiving Colors

Colors that are typical of this time of year are fall colors, such as gold, browns, wheat, greens, yellows, oranges, off whites, blacks, blues, rusts, coppers, burgundy.
A typical menu that would blend beautiful with these colors might be: butternut squash soup, biscuits dripping with butter, cinnamon-rubbed turkey, chile, giblet gravy, corn bread, cranberries, pears, peaches, cinnamon baked apples, zucchini, carrots, string beans, fruit pies and pumpkin carrot cake.

this design is darker than the art I generally make than I normally do.   It appears to me to have a bit of a Newage feel to it.
